Today we visited the Schaubmahr Mill located at the edge of Pezinok. Established in the 18th century by the Schaubmahr family from Bavaria, it is one of the largest preserved water mills in Slovakia. Owned today by the Slovak National Gallery, it is used for exhibitions as well as events. It is undergoing reconstruction to serve as an arts centre in the near future. Our club contributed to the renovation of the garden and orchard. We donated 1200 Euros for planting a linden tree which we came to inspect. We were welcomed by representatives of the SNG who prepared a little garden event for us with a wine tasting of Mr. Hacaj wines, freshly baked bread, etc. We also received a guided tour of the mill and were explained the plans for the near future.
