Rotaract Hradec Králové, in close partnership with Erasmus Student Network Hradec Králové (ESN HK) and Trash Hero Hradec Králové (TH HK), proudly carried forward its tradition of Earth Day stewardship through its third annual cleanup event. United by a commitment to sustainability and community welfare, volunteers gathered for a rewarding day of waste collection and camaraderie.
On the evening of April 5, 2024, Rotaract Hradec Králové participated in a captivating international event hosted by Erenköy Rotaract Club, featuring members from Rotaract Club Dublin Central and Rotaract Club Monza PHF. The virtual gathering was a vibrant mix of personal stories and a spirited Kahoot quiz, reflecting the global nature of the Rotaract community.The event provided a platform for members to present their clubs, exchange cultural insights, and reinforce the bonds of global friendship. The ensuing quiz transcended mere trivia; it was an exciting celebration of knowledge and the spirit of international cooperation.“We’re beyond pleased to have forged new friendships and strengthened our global network,” expressed Daniel, the president from Rotaract Hradec Králové. “Our gratitude goes to Erenköy Rotaract Club for organizing such an enjoyable and unifying experience.”These gatherings underscore the importance of international connections in the Rotaract mission, as clubs worldwide embrace unity and collaborative service.
On International Women's Day, March 8, 2024, the spirit of giving was palpable in the crisp morning air as members of Rotaract Hradec Králové (RAC HK) and Erasmus Student Network Hradec Králové (ESN HK) came together for a noble cause: a blood donation drive at the Faculty Hospital Hradec Králové (FNHK).
In the heart of Prague, a remarkable event unfolded, spearheaded by the collaborative efforts of Friendship Prague and Rotaract Prague International, with an invitation extended to Rotaract Hradec Králové. This event, aptly named "Food Walk", was more than just a walk; it was a journey of kindness and support for those in need.
At the beginning of February 2024 we attended ESN welcome week at the University of Hradec Králové and we had a chance to present our activities.
In a meaningful display of community solidarity and empathy, the Rotaract Club of Hradec Králové, supported by the Rotary Club Hradec Králové, recently conducted a significant clothing donation initiative for Diakonie Broumov. This initiative stands as a shining example of how young leadership and collaborative efforts can make a substantial impact in the community.
At the end of September 2023 we plan to promote Rotaract Hradec Králové during the Welcome week at the University of Hradec Králové.
On September 13, 2023, Hradec Králové experienced a heartwarming and enlightening event Co mě hodí do klidku organized by the RAC HK and Prostor Pro. Slukovy sady, a beautiful park, served as the perfect backdrop for a day filled with activities and insights centered around mental health. The event, which ran from 10:00 to 18:00, drew over 1,000 participants, including numerous schools from the local community.
The 11th edition of the Tmavomodrý večer, organized by Rotary Club Hradec Králové, was a night to remember. This annual event, which raised an impressive 100,000 CZK, supported young patients at the Hemato-Oncology Department of the Children's Clinic at the Faculty Hospital in Hradec Králové (FN HK).
The festive season of 2023 brought not just joy and celebration, but also a wave of generosity and community spirit, thanks to the 3rd Annual Christmas Collection drive. This heartwarming initiative, led by Rotaract Hradec Králové (RAC HK) in collaboration with Erasmus Student Network Hradec Králové (ESN HK) and supported by the University of Hradec Králové (UHK), was a resounding success, spreading happiness among children in need. This year's collection was focused on brightening the lives of children from several institutions: the Children's Home in Pardubice, the Children's Home in Holice, the Children's Diagnostic Institute of Hradec Králové (DDÚ HK), and the Shelter for Mothers with Children in Hradec Králové (Azylový dům pro matky s dětmi HK). These organizations, dedicated to caring for children in challenging situations, were chosen to ensure that the holiday cheer reached the most deserving.
On August 5th, 2023, we had the privilege of spending a rainy day with the children from Sedloňov Children's Home. Despite the weather forcing us indoors, we made sure the children had an unforgettable experience.
On Wednesday 26. 7. 2022 RAC Hradec Kralove organized with the organization Děti v akci a great day for kids from Dětský diagnostický ústav Hradec Králové (DDÚ HK).At first, we visited Salt Cave OASA MEDICAL in Černilov. For all of the kids, it was a first time being in such salt cave. Kids were amazed by playing with a pieces of salt and they enjoyed buryingtheir hands or feets in a mound of salt. Afterwards we had lunch in DDÚ HK and then we drove to Dvůr Králové nad Labem where we visited a ZOO. We had arranged a short guided tourthrough part of the ZOO. The guide lady provided us with many interesting informationabout animals. After the tour we jumped into the Safari track and had a ride through African Safari where the animals (zebras, giraffes, lions etc) were so close to us! Such a great experience! This safari track ride was commented as well which was just breathtaking. At the end of the day kids from DDÚ HK gave us a small presents which they had made by themselves as a thanks for organizing such a nice day.
