Pavol introduced a new candidate for the club - Alex Nance Santos originally from Brazil. He has been living in Slovakia for the last 9 years. Alex introduced himself and talked about the pros and cons of living in Slovakia.
Apart from one inbound student - Jonathan Mehret from Brazil, who visited the club already last time, there were two other new inbound students who introduced themsleves:
Emma Louise McDONALD from Alberta, Canada
Elvira ILLESCAS BRAVO from Mexico
Emma is excited to be first time out of Canada. We received many nice presents from Canada. She will definitely survive our winters.
Elvira introduced herself, she come from the north of Mexico. We received a banner from her club and Aztec calendar. Her first time in Europe.
Her host mother was also present and talked about the new experience of having her child away.
Rotary International wrote us about Rotary Ball – the question is – do we want it or not? Each club should buy 60 tickets.
Klaus kindly invited us to come to Piestany for Dni sv. Huberta, the hunters weekend on 4-6. October. There will be attractive programme, inlcuding goulash competition and Sunday mass.
